♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Tamzin was murdered on the 19th of May 2008 just three weeks after her 25th
Birthday which should have been a very important exciting time and stepping stone in her life.
Tamzin had just inherited a very large sum of money on her 25th Birthday but due to the actions of
her uncle & aunt the money was delayed and the part received before her death only cleared
Tamzin’s bank when she died. The rest of Tamzin’s inheritance from her grandmother was never
received due to the actions of her evil uncle & aunt and still remain to this date May 2009
outstanding. Due to this Tamzin could not pay her murderer the extremely large sum he demanded (many
tens of thousands of pounds) which doubled each week it was late. This money was to be paid on
Tamzin’s birthday to finally leave Tamzin & our family alone after the six years of violence,
death threats and previous murder attempts. ♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Horses and ponies were what Tamzin’s life was all about and Tamzin had
just purchased further miniatures for her breeding program and had planned to purchase more. We had
just given Tamzin three fields for her ponies and she had bought a new trailer for them days before
she was murdered. Tamzin had setup her own prefix and had registered with estate agents as she had
planned to purchase her own land for her stud.♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ One of Tamzin's mares was due to foal a few days after she died. Tamzin was
looking forward so much to this foal being born as it was from two blood lines she knew would
produce a wonderful result. This was to be her first foal under her own prefix. The foal was born a
week after Tamzin died and has now been named Tribute (as a tribute to Tamzin).♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Tamzin grew up with horses all around her. She started riding when she was
just 18 months old in a basket saddle on the Shetland pony we bought for her, who is still going
strong and is now 41 years old.♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Tamzin worked as a competition groom in the Leicester / Melton area which
was a job she enjoyed very much and she also enjoyed meeting some of the most famous names in the
horse jumping world. Tamzin twice enrolled at Moulton College to gain qualifications to further her
career in the equine industry. She made many friends who all had the same intense love of horses as
Tamzin did. She was always friendly and full of fun and just wanted to enjoy life as much as she
could.♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Tamzin loved her ponies with all her heart and had planned to setup a
school specialising in riding for the disabled so she could help unfortunate children and give
something back to the community. She researched this project to its full extent as this was
extremely important to her as she wanted to see the fun and enjoyment the ponies would give disabled
children and help them overcome disabilities with the therapy that the ponies gave.♥
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Tamzin was an extremely talented girl who would fight to the bitter end in
what she believed in. When Tamzin put her mind to something she could make it happen with her shear
grit and determination!♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Tamzin has left behind her mother Dorothy, father Michael, brother Mark,
sister Yasan and her miniature horses who all miss her very much. We are desperately trying to come
to terms with Tamzin's murder. Her sister Yasan was expecting her first baby in December 2008 and
Tamzin was looking forward to becoming an aunt. She had so many plans, all of which were easily
obtainable with her talent and enthusiasm.♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ In Hand showing of ponies was one of Tamzin’s most enjoyable interests
which she was extremely successful at throughout her life. At the tender age of 15, Tamzin had won
many, many championships and at the 1998 UK-USA horse show Tamzin beat all the other 770 horses
winning the champion of all champions in the show. Tamzin showed the miniatures all over Britain and
won championship after championship (some of the cups and trophies can be seen on Michael Spalding's
garden). When we left the show grounds in our horsebox we would always play “We are the
Champions” by Queen (the song playing now) at full volume and all the family, friends and helpers
in the horsebox would sing along at the top of our voices celebrating that we had won the
championships again! Tamzin had a lovely rare talent with ponies and will be deeply missed by the
Equine fraternity, her animals, her family and all her many friends.♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Two days before Tamzin was murdered; she rescued a stray cat and named him
Socks as he has four white socks. He now lives happily with us and constantly reminds us of Tamzin's
love for all animals.♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ We miss our daughter more than words can describe; her happy smiling face,
funny laugh and her fantastic ability to make friends and enjoy life wherever she was.♥
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Rest in Peace Tamzin, we know you are watching over and looking after us.
You are in our thoughts all the time, we will never ever forget you Tamzin and we will treasure your
memory for the rest of our lives! ♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥ Tamzin is also featured on the family website for the Tanzivan Stud when
she was younger. http://www.spotted-pony.com ♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥
♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥. The day after the first anniversary of Tamzin’s death I was feeling
rather tearful while looking after all of our & Tamzin’s ponies. It was 10:30 at night with a
clear evening sky with the stars showing. While looking up I said in a loud voice “Where are you
Tamzin, which star are you?” at that precise moment a shooting star appeared and quickly shot
across the night sky. This reassured me that Tamzin heard me and was ok in heavens garden. This has
given me such a wonderful feeling as what better way could Tamzin's spirit have answered my
question?” ♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ ♥

Showing Ponies
I first met Tamzin through her wonderful parents, Dorothy & Michael Spalding. My brother Lionel Hamilton-Renwick kept miniature Shetland ponies and I grew to know and respect this clever and dedicated family with all their ponies, - in fact they loved all animals; cats, dogs, chickens and all living creatures. They were and are unique – Tamzin was brilliant with show ponies and looked superb in the show ring, she showed ponies to perfection. This is a tragic loss of such a talented young woman who had so much to give.
My heart goes out Tamzin, to your family, Dorothy, Michael, your sister Yasan and your brother Mark.
May you rest in peace. You will never be forgotten – Barbara Renwick (family friend) x x x x x x x
We got to know Dorothy and Michael when Tracy began to help with their horses in 1983, the year Tamzin was born. From a very young age Tamzin was a frequent visitor to our house. We watched her grow into a beautiful and intelligent young woman who was a joy to talk to.
As bridesmaid to Tracy, Tamzin was, as Tracy has stated, serious about her duties. Although she looked lovely, she would have been a lot happier had she not had to wear a posh frock. Both Tamzin and Tracy would have been more comfortable in their usual attire of jodhpurs and hunter wellies.
When we took our grandsons to Dorothy and Michael’s house, Tamzin took them to see the ponies. They were rather wary but Tamzin put them at their ease in her gentle and confident manner. She loved the ponies and was very proud to show them off.
Tamzin achieved much and had so much promise. It is a terrible tragedy that the promise will be unfulfilled.
We hope that Dorothy, Michael, Yasan and Mark find some comfort in the warm tributes which have been expressed in these pages. All we can offer is our heartfelt sympathy and support should you need a friend.
I knew Tamzin from when she was just a couple of months old. I was 14 and had just started riding for her mother. It was the start of a lifelong friendship with the family.
Tamzin was raised in a 'mad house' and I mean that in the nicest way. At the time Dorothy had over20 horses & ponies and the house was a magnet for every pony mad girl in the village. There were people around all the time; the house and yard a buzz of activity dominated by a love of horses and the work that went with them. Tamzin was never treated as a baby..she was always just the 'little one' who was included in everything we did; she just loved to be involved. She was a happy inquisitive baby and bright lovable toddler . She was a joy to have around. I became her unofficial 'nanny' when Dorothy became pregnant with Yasan so we became very close and i adored her. I was with her the first time her parent put her on her Shetland pony and her little face lit up.....she was a natural.
In 1995 Tamzin & Yasan were bridesmaids at my wedding. Tamzin took her duties very seriously and never left my side all day. I was so proud of them that day.
My heart bleeds now to think of the terrible things Tamzin went through. My love and sympathy go to Dorothy & Mike who have lost so much, and for myself., I will regret every day that there was nothing that could be done to prevent the end of a life that held so much love and promise.Rest in peace Tamzin. xxx

You never said I'm leaving
You never said good-bye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knew why

A million times we've needed you,

If love alone could've saved you,
You never would have died.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

Part of us went with you,
The day God took you home

God called
softly in the morning you heard a gentle call, you took the hand god offered you and quietly left us all. The day you left us tamzin our hearts broke in two. The smallest part is still with us and the biggest part with you. Look around your garden lord and when she turns and smiles, put your arms around her and hold her for a while.
You were a lovely person, God bless you tamzin.

Simple memory
I knew of Tamzin at Cottingham primary school, however it wasn't untill I developed a friendship with her sister Yasan that I got to really know her.
Although being closer with her sister than her, I spent one holiday when Yasan was still at school and I was off working with Tamzin and learning about the ponies.
I have one very strong yet simple memory of both Tamzin and I walking up the feild to the ponies (which I was scared of at the time) and tamzin looking at me and saying 'oh amy, come on just walk' as I stood in the middle of a mass of ponies petrified they might do something.
Basically what I am trying to say is although I learnt alot about the animals from Yasan aswell, Tamzin helped me not to be scared of them and to just face my fear.
I am thankful of everything she and her family taught me about the ponies and my fear, which was conquered. I can only hope that she now rests in peace after everything she has gone through.
My deepest symapthies lie with her family and I hope they are coping with their loss.
Rest In Peace
You will never be forgotten

Gone but never forgotten
I met Tamzin over 6 years ago, through my parents relationship with Dorothy and Michael. A fiesty teenager with loads of energy and full of life Tamzin was, from the start, a self confident, outgoing, young lady with a huge personality. We hit it off from day one and from that day built a friendship that I will always be proud of. We battled, of course, through 6 years of a firm friendship but we connected, she was always there for me, and I hope I was there for her too (and hope that I did not fail her in final moments). I am fortunate enough to have some fantastic memories of our time together and will treasure them for the rest of my time. I can only echo Yvonne's comments for Tamzin's talent with the ponies, she won the hearts of many with her patience and attention to detail. As a novice to the show ring she coached myself and my daughter, Shannon, to huge success and taught us so much!!The last few years of Tamzin's life were tough, too tough, for any young adult to cope with. I am so proud of the way she handled so many bad situations. Tamzin was not perfect, but who is ?? We all have our faults, the world is a lesser place without her, and I miss her like mad. I miss her wacky ideas, her impulsive behaviour, her laugh, her smile, her anger, her tears, just Tamzin. My heart goes out to Dorothy and Michael, who were her strength and motivation in life, they have lost a part of them and for that there are no words. May you both find solace and peace in the future, I am always here for you.
Crazy Cat
I met Tamzin at OLPJ and we used to have some good laughs when we got out of doing our P.E lessons. I found some letters that we used to write to each other, there were a few notes from Tamzin in there.
We lost touch after we left school but met up again when we both worked in Avon.
Miss you huny, Love Keri xx
too brief
I only met Tamzin a couple of times through a friend of my brother's. She came to my brother's wedding and instantly got on so well with everyone. She really struck me as the sort of person that wakes up each day with a smile on her face looking forward to what's on offer.
This is a great loss, my thoughts are with her close friends and family.
